THIS IS MATILDA AT 8 MONTHS OLD

MATILDA IS A VERY VERY  FRIENDLY BUNNY WITH LOTS OF LOVE TO GIVE AND A REAL STUNNER

I was considering letting Matilda go due to not breeding rabbits any more but the more I thought about not having her the more I didn't like it ...

I mated her with Zac on 12th October but I don't think she is pregnant. I will keep her on  as another much loved pet, I have been told that not having babies from her is a waste of an expensive rabbit but oh well she is worth every penny to me !

CHARLIE IS JUST A BIG PUDDING AND YOU CAN DO ANYTHING WITH HIM - I HAND REARED HIM WHEN HIS MUM DIED, HE WAS ONLY 12 DAYS OLD AT THE TIME .... CHARLIE IS A MUMMY'S BOY THROUGH AND THROUGH SO MUCH SO THAT I HAVE HAD TO GET HIM NEUTERED AND LET HIM LIVE AS A HOUSE BUNNY

This is my orphan from Jasmine's litter

Jasmine my favourite French Lop doe passed away just short of two weeks after delivering her first litter - leaving me with 7 orphan babies.

I didn't know what to do to keep them alive from such a young age so I looked on the internet and phoned everyone that I knew, but it didn't look good .......

I decided to try my best for Jasmine and started on the long sticky road of feeding them by hand on goats milk and pooping them with damp cotton wool. After 3 days and lots of messing about I managed to get a few of them drinking from a bowl and the others soon followed. It was very messy with 7 wet babies dripping milk so I had to wash and dry them after every feed (3 times a day).  The next step was getting them to drink out of a water bottle and it was the same again once one did it the others followed.

I was waking up every morning hoping that they would still be alive, as days turned into weeks I was over the moon that they were growing and playing like normal baby bunnies.

It seemed to take forever but once they reached the 10 weeks stage and were big and strong I gave them to their new owners - It was sad to let them go but I couldnt believe that I had managed to keep them alive !

A blue butterfly doe (Lola) has gone to Sarah at bobtail bunnies

A blue butterfly buck (Buttons) went to his second home a Craven Lops after his first owner moved to Malta.

The others all went to pet homes as house rabbits......

I NEVER EXPECTED THE LITTER TO LIVE LET ALONE ONE TO GROW THIS BIG !

CHARLIE STILL LOVES A CUDDLE.... HE WAS MY FAVOURITE FROM ABOUT 10 DAYS OLD BECAUSE HE WAS JUST SO FUNNY AND HE REMINDS ME OF HIS MUM. I KNEW BACK THEN THAT I WAS GOING TO KEEP HIM IF HE LIVED.

BLESS HIM, HE STILL THINKS I AM HIS MUM AND CHASES ME ALL OVER.

HE HAS BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH WE ALL TEND TO HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR HIM.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR NICE MESSAGES AND KISSES FROM CHARLIE !

The latest news is that Charlie has now been neutered so he can be our house bunny. He went to the vets and was a very good boy, because he is so soft they was able to do anything that they wanted with him and he never put up a fight bless him.

He is just 8 months old and weighed in at a whopping 13lb.

Charlie is now much happier because he didn't think that he belonged in a hutch, even though his was nearly 8ft it didn't have his 4 best friends in (my dogs). He runs in and out all day long chasing anyone and everyone for attention and he loves it
